Leicester based art-rock/punk band Final Coil are currently recording a demo which will be given away at concerts in order to promote tha band. Recorded using a variety of sources and equipment, the demo is said to be a rough and ready representation of the band’s current, harder-edged sound and is a prelude to a full studio recording set for the end of the year.
The demo is the first official recording to feature the talents of new drummer Tom Malin and bassist Jola Dabek and will include a mix of live favourites and new tracks. It is being mixed and mastered by band leader Phil.
Although the running order is not finalised the full tracklisting is: F*** music V, Leaving hell, Fallen, Real and retrospective/grunge. More details, including art-work, will be released soon. In the meantime you can check out the band’s stunning live EP at their official website or on lastfm.
Final Coil will hit the stage at the Barley Mow pub in Leicester on Friday June 25th, expect a mixture of old favourites as well as tracks from the forthcoming demo. Entry is free.
