SonicAbuse have been saddened to learn that earlier this month, legendary bass player Mick Karn (Japan, Jansen Barbieri Karn, Rain Tree Crow, no-man) was diagnosed with cancer.
However, there is a way to help: the good people at Burning Shed have been organising a series of auctions to help fund Mick’s treatment, and to help his family through this most difficult time.
The latest auction is for a special bundle by The Resonance Association:
- Failure of The Grand Design (CD)
- We Still Have The Stars (heavyweight vinyl)
- Clarity In Darkness (CD)
- Two t-shirts (band logo and No Secrets Only Codes, along with the accompanying CDR)
- A special personalised CDR of unreleased demos and alternative mixes.
All proceeds from this auction will go to Mick Karn and his family. We ask you to please bid generously.
As a further incentive, as the bidding increases so more items will be added to th bundle with Burning Shed and MrsVee promising to look into their stocks of out-of-print releases and CD-Rs. As such this is soemthign that will not only help a much loved and repspected musician and his family but will also provide the winner witha wealth of goodies to treasure.
