With this year looking to be a particular belter for music festivals the independent scene is kicking up an almighty noise too, not least the third Stag and Dagger festival which is taking place in London and Glasgow in May, and at a cost of only £15.00. Promising to showcase the very bes in music acts and DJs, the festival is boasting a fantastic line-up including These New Puritans, Wild Beasts, We Were Promised Jetpacks and many more (see below for full list).

I'm a self-confessed musical nut with an eclectic taste ranging from lo-fi indie to crushing heavy metal. I also make a blizzard of noise in my band Final Coil (recently seen deafening audiences in the midlands area). I also like cheese. Cheese is possibly the single greatest food (if one excludes bacon). Sometimes I write songs about cheese... but not often
