The Resonance Association kick off a small UK tour tomorrow with a performance at the Green Dragon in Croydon. With support coming from Leicester-based art-rockers Final Coil (playing a rare acoustic set) and This is Radio Silence, the evening kicks off with Final Coil at 8.30 PM. Daniel Vincent of TRA released a brief statement about the gig saying: “We look forward to greeting you at The Green Dragon in Croydon tomorrow night for a fine evening of noise! THE RESONANCE ASSOCIATION ! THIS IS RADIO SILENCE ! FINAL COIL ! A great line-up all for free. Be there or be very sad indeed.” SonicAbuse couldn’t agree more. TRA are out on tour in support of their new EP ‘heliopause Prelude’ which is available now and which takes a more direct approach than previous TRA outings. It should be a special night indeed.
Returning the favour, The Resonance Association will also be joining Final Coil (this time playing electric and showcasing a bunch of new songs from the forth coming EP) in Leicester on September 25th for a SonicAbuse evening at The Barley Mow. Entry for both gigs is Free so there really is no excuse not to turn up and check out some of the best alternative music on the scene right now.
I'm a self-confessed musical nut with an eclectic taste ranging from lo-fi indie to crushing heavy metal. I also make a blizzard of noise in my band Final Coil (recently seen deafening audiences in the midlands area). I also like cheese. Cheese is possibly the single greatest food (if one excludes bacon). Sometimes I write songs about cheese... but not often
