SonicAbuse Needs Writers…

Well, it had to happen eventually… SonicAbuse is expanding and we are currently looking for new writers to join our small, but enthusiastic, team.

SonicAbuse currently stands at the limit of its potential – we reach thousands of readers every month and our mission to spread the word about bands underrepresented elsewhere is in full swing, but we need more reviewers to get to work on the HUGE volume of material that we receive each week.

We estimate that we deal currently with about 50% of the material we receive, so new writers would have plenty of opportunity to get their hands on exciting material and tickets to live shows in exchange for thoughtful and insightful reviews. As you know we are a website that thrives on positivity so flamers and people with an axe to grind need not apply.

If you fancy joining the SonicAbuse team of writers, send an email with a sample of your work (it doesn’t have to be published – just write a review of a CD in your collection if you like) along with contact details, availability and your personal musical interests to info@sonicabuse.com and we’ll get in touch.

Although we are a non-profit organisation and your work will be unpaid, we try to make sure our reviewers get a huge array of cool music, tickets to gigs and festivals and we are aiming to hold annual gatherings as well as the site continues to grow. If you fancy the opportunity to discover some great new bands as well as have the opportunity to talk to established favourites then get in touch now.

I also make a blizzard of noise in my band Final Coil (recently seen deafening audiences in the midlands area). I also like cheese. Cheese is possibly the single greatest food (if one excludes bacon). Sometimes I write songs about cheese... but not often
